"Denver Doll Crew": Doll Event Volunteer Meeting at the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys

With our event "Dolls Get Social" upcoming on August 13th at the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls and Toys, I met up with a few new volunteers this weekend to show them the ropes and make a plan for what everyone is doing.  Sophie came with me of course, since she seems to have appointed herself my best girl lately.  She gets to try on all the new outfits, even though a lot of them don't fit her right since she's thinner than American Girl dolls.

I wasn't the only one who brought a doll, either, so Sophie got to be in her first group picture!  Our new friends brought a beautiful white body Molly, a gorgeous 55, a custom Felicity with fantasy hair, and retired fan favorite TM 62.

And amazingly, with the wind blowing the way it was, we only had ONE doll fall (poor fantasy hair Felicity).  It seems like there's always one whenever you do a group photo!

We're shaping up for an awesome event!  Rachel Hoffman from Turn of the Century Antiques and the Virtual Doll Convention will be speaking, in addition to a surprise visit from her guest, Allison Hernandez of Muñecas, Poupees, and Dolls, who is flying in that weekend to film a video at Rachel's doll shop.

And we've got more in the works, too!  I've been working with the director of the museum to plan some fun doll events, so look for more later this year and into 2023!
